About the Name

“Akami” is a Japanese term referring to a specific cut of bluefin tuna. Akami is known for having low fat content, brilliant red color, and a unique taste that is sought after by sushi chefs all over the world. I chose the name “Akami Photography” to represent a commitment to excellence and to honor my family’s roots in the bluefin tuna fishery.
